Card Obsession: Giveaway!!!

One of my New Year's Resolutions is to send a birthday card to all of our family members (parents, grandparents, siblings, nieces, nephews) throughout the year. Buying birthday cards at the store can be a little expensive. So I decided to make my own using a picture I'd taken. Then with the photo editing software (http://www.picnik.com/ - - free by the way) I use, placed a little message. At http://www.vistaprint.com/ they have a deal for postcards - - 100 postcards (you make yourself) for cheap! So I'd decided to use this photo below for the postcards.

I just received them in the mail today and was so excited to see the finished product.

And now, since I have a ton of birthday postcards, I've decided to do a giveaway. Woohoo!

The winner will receive 15 of these birthday postcards (including the envelopes).

So . . . onto the rules:

This giveaway starts on Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at 10 p.m. (PST)

and will end on Thursday, February 4, 2010 at 10 a.m. (PST)

The winner will be announced on Friday, February 5, 2010 on this blog.

One winner will be chosen randomly.

Open to everyone! One entry per person.

On February 5, after the winner is announced, the winner will need to leave me their e-mail address in the comment section so I can contact that person. If not, a new winner will be chosen randomly.

All you have to do is:

1. leave a comment of the last time you sent out a birthday card (I will be the first to admit that it's been a very long time for me).

And if you like this blog, go ahead and follow us!

Good luck!

(And for my family members who had b-days in January . . . they will be arriving shortly.)

  2. Love it Amy. You are so creative. By the way, I am making my blog into a book! So thanks for that tip too. The last card I sent out was to my brother for his birthday in the end of Dec. I made this goal last year and did it and everyone was so happy to get a card. It was a good feeling becuase I always love mail. This year I hope to send them a card and call them....I am not very good at that!

  4. I love your cards Amy! So cute and creative!!
I just gave a b-day card to my niece who is having a b-day in a few days.
Last summer I made a B-day card for each member of my family and even put them all in envelops and put addresses on them! It took a little bit of time right up front but it has made it SO much easier and way less stressful to get B-day cards out.

  5. What a great idea. I try to make some cards ahead of time so that I have some on hand, but I have to admit that I haven't sent a birthday card since like last year! By the way, I already have you on my blog. I love following both of your blogs.

  6. Let's see...the last time I gave someone a birthday card was last March. Pretty sad, eh? Anyway, am I allowed to win even though I'm your sister and all? Cuz these are really cute and I want some. :) (I also painstakingly transported those cupcakes to your house for you, just keep that in mind....)

  24. Christina - xristya@rock.com - I just sent out a birthday card to my friend Elizabeth on Monday (and her birthday is on February 3, today), because, like you, I've resolved to send real cards! Emails get deleted but sometimes you find old birthday cards that family and friends have sent (that you forgot about) and feel very loved and touched!

  25. Last one sent was 1/9--a week late for my little bro. I got this year off on the wrong foot. I still owe my sis one...I'd be able to get caught up and ahead even if I'm the winner!
I usually get caught up with the postage probably. It's such a nuisance to me and I know it's such a pitiful reason to not send the card.
