:: Food - grandma's pancakes

So, I'm not really a pancake person.  I'd rather have waffles.
 {Although french toast would trump either of these.}
But since using this recipe, I don't remember the last time we made waffles!

My sister has been using this recipe for years.
It's a recipe that my Grandma used and was in a recipe book that she passed down to everyone.
Why had I not discovered this earlier?!
These pancakes are EASY to make and are the FLUFFIEST pancakes I've ever tasted.
I've The girls have talked their daddy into making these every Sunday morning.
That's how delicious they are!
Use it for your 4th of July breakfast.
It will definitely be a hit.

Grandma's Pancakes

2 cups flour
2 Tablespoons sugar
2 eggs beaten
4 Tablespoons oil
2 Tablespoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups milk

:: Family Happenings

Within the past few weeks we've been insanely busy.

I went back to work.  Boo.  I miss my kiddos so much when I'm gone.
But . . . grateful that I do have a job.

We've made multiple trips to the pool.

And to the beach.

We celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary.

Trying to cross the items off of our summer bucket list.
The girls love going to the dollar movies at our local theater.

We're trying to leave the TV off from 9-5.  It's been hard.  Really hard!
But it's nice to see the girls using their imagination instead of staring at the TV.
 Do you see their cruise ship they made?

They loved going to a local baseball game.
(and it might be because they ate hot dogs)

And they've almost completed swimming lessons.

And this is only the beginning.  Yay for summer!

:: and summer begins

Little Ava recently graduated from preschool which means . . . summer has officially started!

We love going to our local theater once a week for their dollar movies.
We watched Ice Age 4 yesterday and the girls were in heaven.
 (we obviously don't go to the theater often)
Go here to find your nearest theater and for dates.

Come back tomorrow to see our Summer 2013 bucket list!
