Thank goodness Fall is finally here.
The summer heat has almost past and now we can enjoy the cooler weather.
Although . . . now I have a nasty, little cold.
But, other than that, here are a few things that I love about Fall.

:: Thrift Store Finds

I love the owl trend going on right now.

Or maybe it's already ended?

Anyway, I love it especially for the rooms of little ones.

I found a few on west elm and then in Kohls.

And a few days later, I was at my local thrift store and found these ones here.

I think I will be spray painting them white soon.

:: Good Reads - the scorch trials and the death cure

 So, remember when I had a goal to read a book a month?

Ha!  So much for that New Years Resolution.

Well, I have been doing some reading.

And finally finished this trilogy.

I finished the Maze Runner (the first book) in January.

I loved them and couldn't put them down.

Full of suspense, mystery and a little romance here and there.

Now I need to find something new to read . . . .

Invite a few friends and have a table already set up.
Bring the food.
And you have an amazing dining experience.
I love this idea.

:: Family Happenings

Ava started preschool last week and loves it.

The minute she woke up, she'd ask if it was time to go yet.

Well, Reese thinks that she gets to go too.

Whenever Ava puts her backpack on,

Reese puts the extra one on.

She gets really excited when her sister and our neighbor are getting ready to go.

She runs to the door with them.

And then the door closes.

And she's left inside.

Totally. Not. Fair.

She's stuck with just me for the next 3 hours.

But don't worry Reese, I'm sure before you know it,

you'll be going to preschool too.

:: Emergency Preparedness - water barrels

So, like most other families, we're trying to be prepared.

Prepared for any natural disaster that comes our way.

We have a long way to go.

We're not even close, but we're working on it.

Well, we've been trying to save up for some water barrels.

They're expensive!

But . . . if you check your nearest feed and supply store,

you could get some used ones for pretty cheap!

These were only $12 each.

Just make sure you clean them good with soap and water (maybe a few times).
